COURSE OUTLINE
Curriculum provides theoretical and methodological abilities and practical 'craft' which help in grooming students for media sector. At JIMMC, the course content is regularly updated to keep pace with the emerging trends in the Media sector. JIMMC's plan of action is to prepare students not only for entry level jobs, but also to groom them into strategic thinkers.

There will be approximately 160 teaching days for full time programmes excluding examinations, cultural and sports activities  in an academic year spread over in Two Semesters. The total working days in an academic session will not be less than 180.

Tentatively, a 50:50   ratio  is being  followed for Classroom lectures and Practical sessions. Practical sessions also include Deadline Reporting, Editing/ Scripting in classrooms and practice in Media lab.

One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Media
This course provides a tour of opportunities in digital world. The types of jobs in digital media encompass both the technological aspect through digital marketing as well as the creative aspect of digital media through digital content creation, digital strategy development etc.

One Year Post-Graduate Diploma in Print and Online Journalism:
Over the years, Print journalism has witnessed major transformation. Reporting and editing has taken shape of highly specialized and professional field. Students will learn critical analysis of News content, In-depth reporting, Hard-nose editing and management of editorial departments including the newsroom. The core course in reporting and editing will train students in the art and craft of journalism so that they are able to understand how to gather news accurately and are credible in their writing. This course will also enable them to report in a fair and objective manner along with learning the importance of meeting deadlines.
