Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chandani is an accomplished academician, researcher, and media professional with over 20 years of experience spanning Sociology, Mass Communication, and New Media. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, where his research focused on the transformative role of the internet in social change.

Currently serving as Assistant Professor at Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication (JIMMC), Dr. Chandani teaches Internet and New Media, offering students a critical understanding of the digital society. His academic expertise spans gender studies, social networking, digital communication, and the sociology of media.

Dr. Chandani has presented research papers at prestigious international conferences in Canada, Greece, and Italy. His scholarly work is widely published in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has been honoured with the Early Career Social Scientist Travel Grant by the International Social Science Council (Montreal) and a UGC Travel Grant for his presentation in Athens. Additionally, he served as a Research Fellow on a UGC-funded project on domestic violence against working women.

Before transitioning fully to academia, Dr. Chandani worked as a journalist with the Hindustan Times, bringing practical newsroom experience into his teaching. His proficiency in web design and digital tools enhances his interdisciplinary approach to media education, making him a valuable mentor and a dynamic contributor to the evolving field of communication studies.
