RANGOTSAV 2022

A PRE holi event was organized by the students of JIMMC on 16th March. The event was managed by the students of JIMMC under the guidance of Faculty. It was a fun and colorful event where students enjoyed with colors and music. The event was followed by Lunch. Cake cutting was also done on the occasion of Director Sir’s birthday on the same day. A colorful, sweet and fun loving day at JIMMC.

APRIL COOL DAY

Jagran institute of management and mass communication celebrated April fool day as April Cool day. Faculty and students planted saplings on campus. Dr. J. N. Gupta (CEO -JEF) gives a message to plant more and more trees. The Idea came from JEF Vice Chairperson Ritu GuptaThe event was an initiative for the benefit of the environment. JIMMC Director Dr. Upendra Pandey along with other directors, principal, and faculty of Jagran were present on the occasion.

FRESHER'S 2021

JIMMC organized fresher’s for their new batch of 2021-2024 and 2021-2022. It was a fun and interactive event for the new batches and also the senior students of JIMMC. Group dance, Singing, games, ramp walk, and other fun tasks happened followed by the refreshment and cake cutting.

NATIONAL SEMINAR OF PEOPLE AND POLITICS

On 2nd April, Jagran Degree College organized a National Seminar on People and Politics by dept. of History & Political Science. In this seminar Principal of JDC Asmita Dubey, Director of JIMMC Dr. Upendra, other directors, and all the faculty members and students were present. The guest speakers for the day were Dr.A.K. Verma (Director, Centre for Study and Politics, and Retired Professor, Dept. Of Political Science Christ Church College, Kanpur) and Dr. Saumya Gupta( Associate Professor at Janki Devi Memorial College, University of Delhi) Students and faculty from JIMMC participated by giving their papers for the Journal to be published

The dynamism of talents:Udghosh

UDGHOSH-2019 is an annual fest organised by JIMMC Kanpur. Apart from JIMMC Kanpur, JIM, JIDA, JCASC, CSJM University and JIMMC Noida were also the part of this cultural and academic fest. UDGHOSH was a full pack of enthusiasm, excitement and joy.
It is an event which give students a platform to showcase their talents. Students try to explore the world of creativity, talents and never ending fun. Udghosh is the announcement of glory. Udghosh fest consist of various competitions like Debate, Quiz, Group discussion, Spell-bee and many more. The winners of Quiz competition were from Jagran College while GD winners were from Jimmc Kanpur. Jimmc Noida bagged first position in Nukkad Natak by showing an eye opening act on Shilpi Marcas play ‘Dustak’, while mime winners of CSJM University performed a heart wrenching act on Acid Attack. Dance competition compelled the students to shake a leg and the singing competition left the audience mesmerized. Students amused the judges by showcasing their creativity through rangoli and poster making competition.
This time the decor of the campus was the center of attraction. Udghosh was a three day event commencing on 18th of Feb and concluding on 20th of Feb. The Chief Guest of the day was IG Alok Singh. Sir, told the students that how important it is to be focused with your work. He appreciated students efforts and motivated the students with his words of wisdom. JEF CEO Dr. J. N. Gupta sir and JIMMC Director N.R. Mohanty Sir also appreciated students participation.

UDGHOSH 2020

JIMMC organizes its two days in-house annual fest. Students actively participated in various competitions. Diksha Talreja and team grabbed the first prize in Nukkad Natak , Parth krishna Madan & Kritika Kamal in short film making, Anushka Singh in Reporting, Shivansh Bhardwaj in Story Writing, Monal Srivastava in Poster Making, Divya Shukla both in Hindi and English poetry, Shriyam Mishra in Extempore, Aarshi Dixit an Mansi Yadav in Bollywood Quiz. The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates by the Chief Guest Mrs Ruchi Kohli, Principal Cambridge School, Dr. J.N. Gupta, CEO JEF along with other dignatories present.

INTER SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION

Institute organized inter school debate competition on the topic � Absolute freedom to social media may be dangerous for democracy �. Students from various reputed schools of Kanpur spoke diligently on the topic. Dr. Shiv Kumar Dixit, Retd HOD, Hindi Dept, DBS college and Dr. Nutan Vohra, retd Principal, SN Sen college enlightened the students with their views on the topic and also judged the competition. Surbhi Pandey and Manasvi Tiwari of BNSD Shiksha Niketan stood first. Navneet Awasthi of Dindayal Inter College stood second and Radhika Tiwari from DurgaPrasad Vidya Niketan stood third. Mrs Ritu Gupta Vice Chairperson JEF and Dr J.N Gupta along with judges gave the prizes and certificates to winners and participants.

A series of webinar organized by the institute:

Ms Sarvpriya Sangwan, senior journalist at BBC Hindi and former news presenter at NDTV India. She is also a recipient of Ramnath Goenka Award. She addressed the audience on the topic �Role of Media during Covid-19 pandemic�. Mr Pawas Misra, an IIT Kanpur and IIM Alumnus, heading LabourNet, Bangalore addressed the audience on the topic �Reverse Migration: An opportunity in crises� A webinar on �Radio Making its space in digital world� was organized. The key speaker Ms Shabnam Khan, Radio Jockey at 100.1 MHz at AIR FM Gold, Delhi also a renowned voice over artist and storyteller addressed the audience.

Students Achievement: many students got an opportunity to do e-internship with companies like Sportswiki, Times Internet, Digital 360, Muse Dot Media and many more. Sanya Singh, second year students won High Commendation prize in Indian Press Committee of �its Yuva sansad 2.0(E-Mun) Yash Tiwari, second year student authored �Pandemic 2020-Rife of the Virus� world�s first fiction novel on corona virus. He set on International Record for being Youngest Author to write on this Pandemic. He has also been covered by major publications like Dainik Jagran, Hindustan Times, Amar Ujala, Indian Express. He was interviewed by All India Radio, Radio City, Red FM and other media houses.
